"How can I do this thing and sin against God", Wonder thought within herself.

"Let me show you to your room", said Frank.
"Don't bother, I will have to come back next time, whenever your family is around, I can't imagine both of us alone under the same roof. I know you Frank. I can't break my purity vows in the name of Christmas treat", Wonder retorted.

"So you don't trust me, ehn?" Frank was infuriated
"You can leave, if that is your final decision after several apologies and promises. You now see me as the devil not your angel anymore, leave", he pointed to the door showing her the exit.

"Why did you deceive me in the first place?  Love doesn't deceive. I'll rather leave". Wonder left in anger.  As she hurried down the street to get a bike to take her to the park, sobbing; a bike man dialing a number on his phone, knocked her down and fled.

"Then, we thank God who reveals deep and secret things to His children. We must inquire very well from Him, if He wants this union between you and Frank because who you marry determines to a large extent if you will fulfill purpose and make heaven", her mother replied.

25/12/17 CHRISTMAS TREAT - EPISODE 1

On a sunny afternoon, Wonder arrived at Frank's family house, stressed and tired after the three hours of  sacrificial journey. All soon forgotten at the sight of her sweetheart who opened the gate and met her with a warm hug.
This is her first time visit to Frank's compound although they've been together for two years and kept the relationship at distance.
Everyone knows Frank very well at Wonder's house. He visit often and spend days in town.
Wonder thought it normal to reciprocate the visit during Christmas when she will have enough money to buy gifts for his large family and spend time with his parents, also which will curb them of stunts that can lead to immorality.

Surprisingly, She discovered that everyone has travelled to the village for the festive celebration and her fiance, Frank, hides the information from her till she got to his house.

She was disappointed and decided to travel to a friend's place whose house is few kilometers away. Frank apologized and pleaded that she spends Christmas with him alone at home. She knows her man so well, he sees nothing wrong in fornication in as much as their relationship leads to marriage, and she avoided it all these years.

"Do I have the strength to travel now?, she asked herself.

Dare's love for Bimpe is beyond words. Their relationship is really enviable- friends for two years, highly compatible and sweet together.

Dare is a young, godly, rich and caring man. Bimpe sees herself blessed to have Dare while her friends pray for such a husband as Dare.

His outspoken personality and friendly nature earns him advances from ladies at work, even in church too.
What a glorious and memorable marriage ceremony they had.The honeymoon at Paris was the peak of excitement for the couple.
However, during their honeymoon, Bimpe noticed her husband loves different styles on bed for sexual pleasure which she is not exposed to. She married as a virgin and never imagined such from her husband. She kept pondering on where he learnt it all from.
Before they left Paris, Dare took her to a beautiful hotel different from where they lodged. Although she was in pains,she had no choice but to glow for the sake of her husband. He took her to a particular section of the hotel exclusive to view Strippers dance. Bimpe,disgusted at the sight, ran out feeling highly disappointed. On getting back to their room, Dare apologized and further suggested that Bimpe learns from recorded series- pornography displayed on TV for better enlightenment.Bimpe wished she was dreaming. She was still in pains from previous "fun" and this man still wanted more of it.

She was in a hospital ward the next time she opened her eyes and on that bed, she remembered her mum's resistance to her marrying Dare. "Something is just not right about him",she often said. Bimpe wondered if by that, she was now referring to Dare's addiction.

'Why did God hide this part of Dare's life from me and my mother because we prayed together?', she wondered.

Bimpe planned to open up to her mother but later considered the shame it will bring to her husband. So, she decided to satisfy him and trust God for his change. Dare however remained unapologetic and unconcerned about her pains as long as he got satisfaction in the way he pleases.

Sunday: Through inner peace and confirmation.

Frank: But I've had peace over my last two relationships when we started, after some time the peace disappeared.

Sunday: Follow your heart.

Frank: I read the word, which one is load?

Sunday: Meditate it, observe it, memorise it and eat it. I am not joking Frank. When I wanted to make my own choice, I zero my mind on ladies. I concentrated on the my fellowship with God. The day I will meet my wife, a word from the bible came to me early in the morning before I left the house which I did not understand till I saw her.

Frank: Sunday baba! Husband of one wife.

Sunday: Sincerely, it was as if scale fell off my eyes. I just knew it. Stop your trial and error method, focus your heart on the word. Jesus is the word that never fails. Its not old-fashioned, it still works.

Woye, a focused young and talented man, very hard working with  defined written plans and visions to become a motivational speaker and consultant in business.
His faith in God is uncompromising, he dedicates his time to God and his vision. Distractions like social gatherings disgusts him.

He prefers to attend seminars, trainings and programs related to his dream. His passion increase daily as he loves to motivate youths around live a purposeful life.

His mother always teases him if he was ever going to think of marriage with the pace at which he was moving with God and his dream.

At the age of twenty five, he was already working with a multinational company in Lagos, earned big. At that same age, he had four growing businesses. Yet, he saw it as a starting point.
That same year, it was so strong in his spirit to propose to a lady in his church. He had known the lady for a long time, she was an undergraduate. Woye moved closer to her but never had time to build the friendship.
He marked his thirtieth birthday with his building, car for his parents, and ten full grown businesses. He felt fulfilled to a certain percentage and decided to settle down in marriage. He called his abandoned girl friend exactly a day to her wedding in another state.

He cried to God for another woman and God told him he had to wait for him to make another for him because that lady in question was the perfect will but he was clouded with his ambition instead of yielding to his leading to propose and not marriage at age 25.
There is still room for another but he will need real patience.
At this stage, his exposure to temptation is high because he is rich.

Rosalyn, a thirty-seven year old lady got tired of her unmarried status after several counseling session with the pastor of her church, she became known by the pastor's family. She joined the evangelical church six years ago, migrated from banking industry to insurance which is his ambition.

The sermon on patience and God's timing bore her oftentimes.

Finally on the twelfth of December, she was approached by Samuel, an usher in the church who also joined the church three years after Rosa. Samuel is forty years old, a G.MD of a microfinance bank.
They started their relationship in a short time. The pastor has no option than to release them both to get married because of their age with no time for proper counseling. The pastor could see the desperation in them both.

Three weeks after their wedding, they stopped attending the church and all efforts to invite them was abortive.
The Pastor and his wife decided to visit them. To their amazement, they met Samuel smoking cigarette and sister Rosalyn with alcoholic wine which they did not intend to hide from the pastor and his wife.

They both confessed their former promiscuous life before joining the church. They are not saved; their plan is to get a faithful brother and sister respectively to marry from the church but unfortunately they ended up hooking up with each other and decided to maintain the home as it appears.

They have a balanced equation, appear married but are roommates.

My name is Gladys , I heard Funmi,  got a husband by going to the Church every single day, I  also heard,  Mayokun, my Childhood best friend got her husband from attending parties every Saturday,  it was one of those Saturdays,  She met her Husband. I knew,  my Cousin Folashade,  got a husband from walking around the biggest Shopping Mall in Lagos for two months.

My Cousin would dress up gorgeously,  and  would drive to the Mall,  sit down like she was waiting for someone,  it was during one of her "sitting down" days, a guy joined her on the table,  they started discussing, and after that, 5 months later, they got married...

I decided for me to get a husband,  I could use all of these tactics,  I would go to Church everyday  just to be noticed by any available single man except on Saturdays, when I gatecrashed any wedding. On public holidays, you will find me at different Malls,  Advertising myself....

BUT,
it never worked,  For six months it never worked. I was torn,  and I went home after one evening service, When a brother I had been eyeing was announced to be getting married soon...

My Mum was in the Living room... She could see my bloodshot eyes,

"Gladys what's wrong? " Mum asked

" Nothing" I lied

" Gladys.... " Mum pressed on

" Mum,  Everything.. I am single and Jobless... Mum.. I have searched everywhere for a husband "

" Maybe you are searching in the wrong places"

" Is church the wrong place,  and besides I am the woman, I am not the one to be searching"

" Good,  stop searching for a man,  Search for God,  and God Will direct you in the right direction , Remember,  Mary was looking for Jesus at the tomb,  But the Angel told them,  You are searching in the Wrong place, Christ is not here,  Go ahead"..Christ later revealed Himself to them at the Place  He choose. "

It was like my mum's word was a prophecy,  I started going to Church to seek God more,  It was during this period that I was inspired by God to start frying beanscake,  since I was out of Job... And Yes you guessed right,  My husband drove down to buy my popular beanscake,  He became a regular customer,  overtime we became friends and you know you can Imagine the rest... Today,  is my 12th year anniversary.

Lesson I learnt is most times,  we search for answers in the wrong places, or places we use  our brain to think we will find answers,  but the best thing is to Find God and Let HIM direct your path. Stop searching in the wrong places.

God has the direction to where your blessings lie.. FIND GOD!.

Martina: I fasted and prayed for us. Thank God, it was not in vain. Lord I thank you. I've loved you Martins but I love God more. I am also sorry for wasting your precious time in this gambled relationship founded on CLOSE NAMES, 'Martina hooks Martins'. Now a nightmare.

Martins: Not so my dear. God created us for each other. I've always told you. It wasn't a gambled relationship. Our names symbolize a proof of God's will marriage.

Martina: In your dream. Am traveling back to the States first thing tomorrow morning. If you can do this in Nigeria, more should be expected outside.

Martins: Give me another chance to proof my faithfulness to you.

08/28/17. SILENT PAIN

I met Christopher precisely on the 28th of May at a pepper soup joint close to my house. To enjoy the evening breeze, I wore a short-knicker jean and a sleeveless top, busy replying my mails as the pepper soup was served. Few seconds after, this tall, elegant and handsome looking young man sat close to me and gave me a hearty smile which I obliged. He introduced himself and I also responded nicely. He is a branch bank manager of a reputable bank in the country. He was returning from office and decided to take pepper soup as a bachelor. Something skipped within me as my face glued to his, 'A bachelor'. Mehn! This man is hot but I must be careful. I'm a Christian and I've heard messages on "Good, Acceptable and Perfect Will of God in Marriage". At thirty four, wrong marriage is my worst nightmare. I'll rather die than marry the wrong man. I'm in love with my career and planned to settle down when thirty five years.
After our taking the soup, he saw me off to my apartment, I mentioned my house being close to him. He took me in his car. Hush! He has a driver. 'Lord help me now', was my silent prayer. I must not allow this cool guy into my apartment tonight. I don't trust myself.
Was I dreaming, what happened to me? I couldn't remember anything from the time I entered his car till he finished with me on my bed.
I roared like a lion. He smiled as he walked out of my room. I don't know this man from Adam.
Where do I run to? Who will trust me on this? What is the way forward?
I sat on my bed half lifeless...Can you imagine what I saw on the floor...he used a protective.
This is my silent pain...I was robbed of my pride.
But what happened to me? I hardly recognize him.

Daddy: He fed me back on his meeting with the event planner. Marriage is too expensive here in Nigeria. Let's stick to the new plan.

Mercy: Monso would prefer that. He wanted a low and classic engagement.

Here we are, despite all the distractions, we never give up, we were focused and prayerful, and God beats our widest imagination. Monso: My mother's family insisted on fornication and your family wanted another thing...in the midst of all, God showed up. My damsel is lavishing me with love, my junior is kicking mummy so hard in the tummy, my father in-law is a blessing all sons in-law can pray for. My wife's clothing business is fetching a fortune, house rent and job settled in a strange land. God is great.

(After the prayers, a month later Mercy received a call)

Mercy: Hello Aunty.

Aunty: Mercy dear, how are you this morning?

Mercy: Awesome ma.

Aunty: Our God is faithful, He has answered our prayers. Lest I forget, How is Monso?

Mercy: He is good ma. What happened?

Aunty: I got a call in the middle of the night from your father.

Mercy: My own father?

Aunty: Do you know he actually traveled to US?

Mercy: United States?

Aunty: He apologized for his silence and disappearance over the years, he promised to come to Nigeria to see us. The death of your mother really affected him. He said he never knew she had a daughter for him.

Mercy: How come he never know?

Aunty: Your mother wanted to make it a surprise for him. I told you he traveled to Ghana three months after their wedding and your mum did not discover she was pregnant until he left.

Mercy: What kind of surprise was that? What if she does not have a faithful sister like you?

Aunty: This is not the time to condemn your mother who prayed to live but God took her. It is time to thank God. It was like a dream until I woke up this morning.

Mercy: What time did he call you?

Aunty: Around 3am

Mercy: Hmm! Holy Spirit you are great.

Aunty: He is. I guess you had a vigil or something?

Mercy: Aunty, God is faithful. I can't lose both parents like that. Since mum died, I've always told God to search out my father. I can't live as an orphan.

Aunty: God has finally answered your prayers. I will keep you posted on whatever news I received from him. Although I forwarded your phone number to him.

Mercy: OK ma.

Aunty: He wants to meet you in person. You are his only child. He said he has not remarried. He loves your mother so much.

Mercy: For real! So, why his silence all these years? Why didn't he come for the burial? He would have seen me.

Aunty: God makes all things beautiful in His time. Your dad couldn't explain himself very well on the phone. Anyway, we should expect him next week. See me tomorrow evening so that we can plan for his arrival.

Mercy: Thank God I've forgiven him long before now. I will come ma.

Aunty: Alright my dear. Congratulations.

Mercy: I return all the glory to God who has perfected my life.

Aunty: OK dear. Bye.

Mercy: I don't understand.

Monso: Why all these at this time?

Monso: My dear, I don't want us to worry our head on how God will settle all these challenges. They are mere distractions. We should be committed to what God told us. Remember Philippians 4:6 encouraged us not to be anxious for anything but by prayer and supplications we can table all our requests to God. If it is God, it will surely stand and I am very sure that God is involved in this journey. He will see us through. My love, be focused.

Mercy: I am.

Monso: That's better. Let's join our faith together to seek God. May I have your hands?

Mercy: Sure.

Monso: Pray for us. Jesus answers you women faster.

Monso: Its my personal discovery dear. Pray for us.

Monso: No, its 70:30, with a job permit.

Mercy: God has proved His faithfulness to us. So when is your trip?

Monso: Four months time...July by God's grace.

Mercy: That's okay. We will definitely prepare for it.

Monso: Honey, I have a request.

Mercy: What is it?

Monso: My love, without you my life is incomplete. I can't imagine this trip without first settling down with you my queen.

Mercy: What are you insinuating?

Monso: Can we have a small wedding, settle down before my trip, then, I will know I'm committed to you for the rest of my life and not being afraid of another man taking you before I returned. The little amount in my account should be enough.

Mercy: Marry and you'll leave me here for a two-year course? I'll rather wait unmarried than put myself in marital bondage without my spouse around.

Monso: Mercy, over the years, I grew to love you even as my friend. Your little girl nature trilled me, you love others than yourself. Your love for God is unquestionable. You are very dedicated and devoted to our friendship. God has used for me in many ways, to see the light of His love. I'm not ready to throw all that to the mud.

Monso: Sincerely my dear, I'm delighted in your intelligence, you taught me team ministry, always ready to learn. Mercy, I have a long journey before me which I need you to go with me. I have a purpose i must fulfill which I need your help to achieve. Will you marry me? I need you in my life than just a friend but as my companion.

LIFE IN THE WILDERNESS...
While in the wilderness:

Forgiving people who hurt us is the most powerful and spiritual thing we must all do. When people hurt us, they can not pay us back, we just have to face God. Forgive!

Always Seek God's face not His Hand. Ask God what you can do for Him not what He can do for you and you will enjoy both.

Don't be ever be overly concerned about what people have to say or thought about you. Keep loving and praying for them.

Never purposely mistreat anybody. Apologize whenever you are at fault.

Learn everything you can about God's anointing. His presence matters in your life

Your circumstance must not keep you from enjoying your life.

THE TIME TEST: Never get married until you have summered and wintered with your partner? Have you known each other long enough to know each other well?

        TEST 7
THE SEPARATION TEST: Do you feel an unusual  joy while in the company of each other? Is there pain in separation?

         TEST 8
THE GIVING TEST: Love and marriage are giving, not getting. Are you in love to give? Are you capable of self-giving? Is this quality of self-giving constantly evident?

          TEST 9
The Growth Test: Is your love dynamic in its growth? Is it progressively maturing? Are the characteristics of Christian love developing?

            TEST 10
THE SEX TEST: Is there mutual enjoyment without the constant need of physical expression? If you can't be together without petting, you don't have the maturity and love essential for marriage.

The Respect Test: Do you really have respect for each other? Are you proud of your partner?

          Test 4
The Habit Test: Do you only love each other or do you like each other and accept each other with your habits and shortcomings?

          Test 5
The Quarrel Test: Are you open to forgive each other and give in to each other? The ability to be reconciled after a real quarrel must be tested before marriage.
