Over the past 30years, I have done counseling sessions with hundreds of couples... Why did you get married? ...same response: 'Because we love each other.'
Most say something about deep feeling that they have for each other.
..And I now know that being in love is not a sufficient foundation on which to build a successful marriage.
Often we fail to consider the fact that our social, spiritual and intellectual interests are miles apart. Our goals and values are contradictory, but we are in love.
