Today, I want us to learn from the true life story of two of my friends that got me thinking.
"It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep." (Psalm127:2)
This lady waited for twenty seven years without defiling herself, expecting the Will of God to be done in marriage but did not finish her National Youth Service year before she got pregnant. Marriage Introduction was done and she settled down.
The man also waited for thirty seven years without defiling himself but made one-time mistake of having sex few months to his wedding when wedding cards are about to be printed. White wedding was cancelled and they settled down after traditional wedding.
You see, Paul said, "it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. Romans 9:16"
It is not how long you've waited but also how watchful you are.
You've waited too long to miss it.
Divine Grace and Mercy will keep us, Amen.
