18/09/19. I NEED A HUSBAND!

Some sisters are seeking the face of the Lord and praying and fasting to know who to marry, but in their heart, they have already set a status standard for the man the Lord should bring along their path: They had listed the qualities: tall, slim, computer technology compliant man, purpose driven, goal getter, at least posseing the first degree and working in a top company and having an enviable carreer, etc. They fast on these and pray on these and hold several vigils and prayers sessions on these.
THEY ARE PRAYING AND FASTING TRULY, but NOT WITH A PERFECT HEART. There is no God-picture in the criteria of the man or lady they desire to marry. When God is out of the picture, that brother or sister eventually marries wrongly, despite all his or her prayers and waiting.

ROSEMARY: Where were you since last week? I checked you in your room several times; called your line, it was switched off. You got me worried.

CAROLINE: I was at my husband's house.

ROSEMARY: Your husband? The last time I checked you are not married. Or you mean to say your fiance?

CAROLINE: Anyhow.

ROSEMARY: Doing what?

CAROLINE: We decided to stay indoors for a week. We switched off our phones to avoid distractions. I've moved to his apartment for now.

ROSEMARY: For real? You? Living couples life. Jesus!

CAROLINE: We are engaged, getting married in a year's time after my compulsory youth service.
Rose, This is the trending lifestyle. How will we know we are compatible if we don't stay together for a while before we tie the knot?

ROSEMARY: Caroline, what came over your Faith? Where did you drop the fear of God? This is disobedience to the One who pioneered marriage. Marriage is honourable and bed undefiled, fornicators and adulterers, God will judge.

CAROLINE: Who made you judge over me? Ehn?

ROSEMARY: I'm not judging you. It's the word of God. But your fiance is also a Christian. What came over both of you?

CAROLINE: You are still old school with this your mentality about marriage while we have chosen the sweet trending path. It prepares you for the future home.

ROSEMARY: I can't believe my ears. Caroline? I'll be on my way. See you later. You are in my prayers.
But remember, that you're living together already before marriage doesn't guarantee you'll live together forever. So be wise.

Ignorance is kills.

Do not despise good information especially on purpose fulfilment and sexual purity. It leads to regret later in life if ignored.

It's better to develop yourself and get relevant knowledge than to be on the social media 18 hours out of 24 hours in a day, entertaining yourself. Use your time efficiently.

06/09/19. ESCAPE ROUTE

"Can a man walk on hot coals and not blister his feet? So it is with the man who sleeps with another man's wife. He who embraces her will not go unpunished...is a utter fool...wounds and disgrace are his lot..."

Marriage is not an escape route from fornication and adultery. It is even a trial period to show how disciplined you are. Your spouse will not always be available. How long can you stand?

Even King Solomon who wrote some proverbs in the Bible including the passage above, fell into the trap of adultery and faced it's consequences.

Fear God and be disciplined.

Not all proposals needs prayers before you know the answer if you have the Spirit of God.

For example, an unbeliever is a no-go area; a purposeless man/woman is a no go area.

Many finds themselves in the pit of heart breaks today because they say 'Yes' to all appearances of love.

Be disciplined and get busy fulfilling purpose.
